TEEN AUDITIONS: SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL MAINSTAGE (NYC & NJ)

Something magical is going to happen this Fall. ATNY has the absolute pleasure to bring the 12-Time Tony Award Nominated SPONGEBOB the Musical, along with ORIGINAL Broadway Cast members and Producers, to talented Teen performers in the Tri-State Area. Dance, Vocals, and Acting Rehearsals will be held in two States: NY (Midtown Manhattan) for all city-based performers; and NJ (Short Hills and South Orange) for our NJ based performers. It all culminates is a FULL Professional Production at a historic theatre right in NYC’s Broadway district.
This is a highly professional program with the best of the best at the helm – including the now-iconic songs of the show, along with all the inventive choreography that made it such a hit. A SUPERB opportunity for young up and coming performers; nothing else like this exists. Don’t confuse the title with the Nickelodeon Show. THIS BROADWAY MUSICAL IS FOR OLDER AND YOUNGER TEENS – and ALL artists will be featured.
Performances will be in the NYC Broadway Theatre District, with rehearsals in both NY as well as NJ (Short Hills and the South Orange Performing Arts Center). This MainStage Production is open to Ages 13 and up, with skill level exceptions, as noted by casting. (If you are considering our youngest RISING CAST (Ages 8-13) in Ridgewood NJ or NYC, you may register directly on this site).
INITIAL VIRTUAL AUDITION DAYS: Please prepare 16 – 32 bars of a standard Musical Theatre song that best shows your voice and your acting ability. You do NOT need to sing from the show. Our Broadway team will be watching, including independent NYC Casting Directors.

CALLBACKS IN-PERSON: If invited, artists will be asked to dance, read copy and sing. ATNY will have an expert panel of Broadway Casting Dir’s to evaluate artists who have been called back.

If you accept your role, you must register asap after casting. Please only accept your role if you will fulfill your commitment to the production. There are performers and an entire Broadway team dependent on your attendance and efforts.
CARL ANTHONY TRAMON (CAT), Broadway Producer, Dir. He’s been with ATNY since 2019, and has directed and co-produced ATNY’s hit productions, Matilda, Hairspray, Anything Goes, School of Rock, Mean Girls, Newsies, Legally Blonde, Bring It On, Into the Woods, and most recently, A Chorus Line. All shows have been met with great acclaim. On Broadway, CAT has co-produced Matilda, Sweeney Todd, Smash, Be More Chill, Waiting For Godot, Once Upon a One More Time, among others.
