Join Broadway sensation ALEX BRIGHTMAN, as Broadway Producer Carl Anthony Tramon hosts this extraordinary Interactive Performance and Career Enhancing virtual workshop! This is a rare and special opportunity for young broadway musical talent. Alex will give constructive broadway tips, audition adjustments and critiques on songs, monologues and scenes for each young actor. We kindly ask you bring your own tracks and material for each session. If you have scenes, ATNY is happy to read with you. Please email us the scene! We’ll culminate in a final Q/A for 2nd workshop participants.
Alex Brightman is a 2-Time Tony nominated actor, best known for his star turns in School of Rock and the lead role of Beetlejuice on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include Glory Days, Wicked, Big Fish, and Matilda. He can be seen in the upcoming film, Here Today, starring Billy Crystal and Tiffany Haddish and catch Alex this coming October on Netflix’s brand new animated series, Deadendia. Other TV credits include Royal Pains, Important Things w/ Demetri Martin, The Good Fight, and this current season of Law & Order: SVU. Musical writing credits include It’s Kind of a Funny Story (music & lyrics by Drew Gasparini) and The Whipping Boy (music & lyrics by Drew Gasparini). His latest play, Everything is Fine, was a finalist in ScreenCraft’s “Stage to Screen” script competition and is currently in development. He is currently developing a television series to be shot in 2021.

Theatre Artists can and are encouraged to register for both days. Alex will help the young actor execute a powerful and dynamic character, and understand the intensity of preparation for Broadway auditions and performance. Through 1-on-1 direction, theatre games and advice, Alex will give critical insight into the process of becoming a Broadway Performer – in his own incredibly FUN style. PREPARATION: Performers attending on Saturday should prepare 32 bars of a song of choice or short monologue. Performers who register for BOTH DAYS may sing on Day 2!
