In this Workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to find out valuable and useful information about the admissions process of a few of the top Performing Arts schools at the college and university level.

ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI THEATER ARTS: The BFA Acting program is arranged in a highly competitive conservatory format that assures students of intensive classes in acting, voice/speech, movement, singing, and dance. The Department’s goal is to prepare performers for the professional world and acquaint students with as many specialized skills as possible. To achieve this goal, the Department provides a first-rate faculty who continue to work in the professional theatre and also brings in guest artists and directors. Students are exposed to a wide ranging repertoire of plays both in the classroom and during our production season.
ABOUT MARYMOUNT MANHATTAN COLLEGE THEATER ARTS: The B.F.A. in Acting major at Marymount Manhattan College is an intensive program that educates and trains students for professional careers in acting. Our curriculum prepares students for successful professional careers while also providing them a robust liberal arts education. At MMC we are training our students to not only be strong actors, but also global citizens and active contributors to society. The B.F.A. in Acting program offers education and training in contemporary acting, acting in period styles, and acting in Shakespeare. The major also incorporates the study of voice and speech, as well as movement, along with the study of script analysis, dramatic literature, and theatre history, in our curriculum. This B.F.A. in Acting is a unique 60-credit hour B.F.A. program that culminates in a professional acting showcase for casting directors and agents in New York City during the Spring semester of the senior year.
