ATNY’s Professional Summer In-Studio Comprehensive Camps are designed to be flexible, comprehensive and career enhancing. Each camp week consists of 8 practical genres of study, all contributing to a young actor’s continued growth and progression. No two weeks are alike, so register for several weeks for continued study!
Week 5: You’ve heard it before…The camera doesn’t lie.The art of dramatic scene study requires focus, and feeling. No, you don’t need to focus on your own feeling; rather, the way your scene partner is making you feel. Listen, absorb, feel and react in an honest moment. In other words, we’ll take the ‘acting’ out of your acting in this week. You should be out of your head at all times, and focusing on all things external. We love this week, as it’s the purest form of legit acting. All campers in this week are guaranteed to take a nice step forward in their acting as they learn to see both scene copy and moments differently. We don’t speak to be loyal to the page. Actors speak because there is something that urgently needs to be said. Dramatic Monologues and Scenes for all young actors.
Classes Include: Improvisation, On-Camera Acting, On-Camera Audition Technique, Voice-Overs, Meisner Technique, On-Camera Commercials, Scene Study, Monologue & Character Study, Actor Movement, Agent Hour.
