‘Into the Woods’ Mainstage Auditions
ATNY Continues its successful FULL LENGTH professional musical series of Broadway shows this Fall, with the acclaimed ‘INTO THE WOODS’ a Stephen Sondheim classic. If you’ve been a part of any of ATNY’s previous 6 years of shows, you know it’s truly not to be missed. With rehearsals in NYC for NYC Casts and Ridgewood NJ for NJ Casts, all final shows will be in January 2026, in the Broadway District. We invite you to audition to be apart of ATNY’s Professional Broadway Team. Actors will enjoy a professional two-tier stage, professional stage manager, lighting team, grips, wardrobe and entire production team. This production will be as close to Broadway as a young performer could hope for in NYC.
INTO THE WOODS: A Sondheim Classic, the main characters are taken from ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, Cinderella and several others. This musical ius driven together by a story of a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a witch who has placed a curse on them, and encounters with other storybook characters during their journey.
CARL ANTHONY TRAMON (Cat), Dir. He’s been with ATNY since 2019, and has directed and co-produced ATNY’s hit productions, Hairspray, Anything Goes, Matilda, School of Rock, Mean Girls, Newsies and most recently, Bring it On. All shows have been sold out with great acclaim. On Broadway, Cat has co-produced Matilda, Mr. Saturday Night, Sweeney Todd, Smash, Once Upon a One More Time, among others.
AUDITIONS/CALLBACKS: COMING SOON!
Virtual Auditions, Pick a Virtual Day: Sept. 2, 4, 7 or 9th, 5pm – 7pm.
Initial auditions will be virtual, with several day options. This will be up very shortly. We ask that you come with a song of choice, 16 – 32 bars. ATN Callbacks will be in the first half of September, in person. If you can’t make a virtual audition, we invite you to send a tape. ATNY reserves the right to invite initial auditioners to the callbacks for evaluation. Callbacks will consist of choreography and scenes.
*If you can’t commit to our Mainstage Production, we invite you to participate in the junior production, with rehearsals on Sundays only.
NJ Rehearsals/Shows: Begins on/about September 28th, and continues with Fridays after school and Sundays, 2:30 – 6pm, until Tech Week. Final shows January 10th/11th. Tech week will begin the Tuesday before shows, 4:30pm – 8:30pm.
NYC Rehearsals/Shows: Begins on/about September 27th, and continues on Saturdays/Sundays, 1:30pm – 6pm, as called. Final shows January 3rd/4th. Tech week will begin the Tuesday before shows begin, 4:30pm – 8:30pm.
Virtual Rehearsals: Not all rehearsals will be in person. ATNY reserves the right to have virtual rehearsals, where it deems appropriate, for either cast.
CONFLICTS: As you well know, ATNY works with those who have conflicts at times. We will pass out a conflict sheet, which we respectfully ask you fill out in full. As a professional, we also ask you commit to this professional experience. Past casts have knocked it out of the park, as we drive home commitment to the cast.
ATNY Casts professionally, with casting directors sitting in the initial audition. This allows us to get a fresh and added perspective on talent. All roles are featured. This includes ensemble. If you are auditioning for 1 particular role only, and will not participate unless this role is given to you, please let us know. There is no favoritism at ATNY. We love you all equally, and cast based strictly on who deserves and will serve each role as we see it.
