INTO THE WOODS: A Sondheim Classic, the main characters are taken from ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, Cinderella and several others. This musical ius driven together by a story of a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a witch who has placed a curse on them, and encounters with other storybook characters during their journey.
CARL ANTHONY TRAMON (Cat), Dir. He’s been with ATNY since 2019, and has directed and co-produced ATNY’s hit productions, Hairspray, Anything Goes, Matilda, School of Rock, Mean Girls, Newsies and most recently, Bring it On. All shows have been sold out with great acclaim. On Broadway, Cat has co-produced Matilda, Mr. Saturday Night, Sweeney Todd, Smash, Once Upon a One More Time, among others.
*If you can’t commit to our Mainstage Production, we invite you to participate in the junior production in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut, with rehearsals on Sundays only.
New York City Rehearsals/Shows: Rehearsals begin on Saturdays/Sundays at Pearl Studios, 1:30pm – 6pm, as called. Final shows January 17th/18th. Tech week will begin the Tuesday before shows begin, 4:30pm – 8:30pm.
Virtual Rehearsals: Not all rehearsals will be in person! ATNY reserves the right to have virtual rehearsals, where it deems appropriate, for either cast.
CONFLICTS: As you well know, ATNY works with those who have conflicts at times. We will pass out a conflict sheet, which we respectfully ask you fill out in full. As a professional, we also ask you commit to this professional experience. Past casts have knocked it out of the park, as we drive home commitment to the cast.
ATNY Casts professionally, with casting directors sitting in the initial audition. This allows us to get a fresh and added perspective on talent. All roles are featured. This includes ensemble. If you are auditioning for 1 particular role only, and will not participate unless this role is given to you, please let us know. There is no favoritism at ATNY. We love you all equally, and cast based strictly on who deserves and will serve each role as we see it.
