Over nine dynamic weeks, young actors will dive into a wide range of acting techniques and performance styles — discovering what kind of actor they are and building a well-rounded foundation for future work on screen and stage. Each week spotlights a new discipline, offering hands-on exercises, scene work, and creative exploration.
Block 1 – Meisner Technique
Emphasis on active listening and responding instinctively rather than thinking ahead.
Through repetition and improvisation exercises, actors develop emotional honesty and authentic connection with their scene partners.
Block 2 – Scene Study
Dive into scripted work! Students explore scene analysis, character motivation, and emotional truth, learning how to bring a story to life through text and collaboration.
Block 3 – Speech & Diction
Explore projection, diction, breath support, and accent play. Students discover how to use their voices as powerful storytelling tools.
Block 4 – Movement & Physical Comedy
From body awareness to stage presence, students learn how physicality communicates emotion and character — through movement, gesture, and posture.
Block 5 – Character Development & Transformation
Go deeper into building characters from the inside out. Students explore backstory, physicality, and emotion to create fully realized roles.
Block 6 – Commercials & Self-Tapes
Practice audition sides, cold reads, and commercial copy. Students gain practical experience performing under time pressure while learning to showcase personality and confidence.
By the end of this 9-week journey, students will have explored multiple facets of the craft, built confidence across mediums, and discovered new passions within the world of acting. The final day will be a Parent Observation Day where our students will get to showcase a selection of the performance disciplines they have been honing.
