There are great actors. There are great auditions. What sets you apart? You need to be able to see and understand the first moment for casting directors and show runners to watch your entire audition. Are you making interesting choices?
We’ve met many great actors who don’t book. Not necessarily your fault. You simply don’t understand how to start strong and build. You don’t understand how to use your camera space or incorporate silence. Your subtext means more than the words and there are interesting ways of playing copy. You see it one way. We see it another. In this class, we’ll help you discover what to look for in scene work and teach you how to play feeling without feeling like you need to show it. Too many actors will indicate what they feel as a way to influence you. Not necessary. In fact, it will hurt you as you’ll get in your own way.
Whether through dramatic or comedic auditions, we’ll bring in casting directors to show you first hand what they want to see and explain to you what makes a great audition that will be remembered. You’ll also be able to have all questions answered in regards to self tapes. A great class for both active audition-ers and those who would like to begin auditioning.
Demand to be remembered. You can’t control the booking, but you can control your audition.
