ATNY’s Professional Summer In-Studio Comprehensive Camps are designed to be flexible, comprehensive and career enhancing. Each camp week consists of 8 practical genres of study, all contributing to a young actor’s continued growth and progression. No two weeks are alike, so register for several weeks for continued study!
Camp 7: It’s natural that a young actor starts their career on stage. It’s a wonderful art form and we are great believers in stage experience. We’re also great believers in understanding that most agents and managers make their money off of TV performers. In this week, we’ll take you on a ride as you begin the stage experience with scene, and take it to the subtlety of on camera performance. What an amazing experience you’ll have this week, and learn to appreciate the art forms of stage, television and film. Parents will be invited in on Friday to view the progress of each actor from a week’s learning. We’ll invite a top industry to view and give feedback.
Concepts: Objective. The pursuit of objective. Intention. How your intention changes. Scene Partner. Meisner Technique. You don’t change. You allow your scene partner to change you. Transition. Silence. Focus. Observation. (We encourage improvisation incorporation).
Program Includes: Improvisation, On-Camera Comedy/Drama, On-Camera Audition Technique, Voice-Over Technique, Meisner Technique, Scene Study, Monologue & Character Study, Actor Movement, Final Industry Hour.
