In this class, the younger teens or tween will explore and continue to hone the fundamentals of skillful acting. Through monologue and scene study, they will learn Meisner Techniques to learn to focus on all things outside of themselves. While we do suggest the final on camera class to further emphasize subtly and learn the TV/Film genre, this substantive class is imperative.
Our Young actors will continue to hone the understanding of becoming specific with identifying their scene objective. There’s always an urgent need for the actor in a scene. There’s something you need, so focus on that. We don’t learn to perform, we learn to live truthfully. We’ll get specific together, identify the conflict in the scene, and help you explore the many wonderful ways to see copy and play, all through scene partner focus. There’s nothing planned, nothing canned. Your moments will become spontaneous and surprise even you!
Class size will be kept to a minimum, to ensure quality. We recommend using the copy in this class, in your On-Camera Class which directly follows this one, as we move the actor to naturalism and realism.
