Let the writers focus on the text. Actors need to focus on their objective in the scene and all things external to themselves. In this class, young actors will continue to learn the foundation of all good acting. Place your focus on something external to you, and keep your focus simple. Go after your objective and continue to let your scene partner affect you.
Monologues will be provided (or students may bring their own). In this class we’ll break it down and get more specific.
We’ll use both comedic and dramatic material and include improvisational exercises along the way.
