A 9-Week in depth discovery of a full scene and Short One Acts.  We’ll explore an actor’s journey from text analysis to final staging of scene on stage.  Highly specific advanced training for actors, taught by one of NYU’s finest.  Parents will be invited to view final class presentation on the final day.  Attendance for this advanced class will be mandatory, so please be sure your calendar allows for this.

This 9-week course explores the script-to-stage process in depth. Using the structure of the text, students will discover the power of sound text analysis to the rehearsal process. Students will look collaboratively at given circumstances, narrative structure, character needs and motivations. Together, actors will uncover the most useful path to honest performance, the living experience of the scene.

This course is highly specific actor training.
